The Cesarean Recovery & Safe Return to Exercise Clinical Professional Guide gives rehabilitation, fitness and medical professionals a comprehensive, phase-based clinical framework to confidently assess, treat, and safely return to exercise their post-cesarean clients from birth through one+ year postpartum.

1 in 3 U.S. births is a cesarean

Most patients receive no structured rehabilitation after

Patients are discharged with "avoid lifting over 10 pounds" and a 6-week follow-up. No scar protocol. No pelvic floor guidance. No return-to-exercise framework.

As a result, your clients show up in your clinic or gym weeks, months, even years after their cesarean with:

  • Painful, hypersensitive, or immobile scar tissue they've never been taught to address

  • Pelvic floor dysfunction they didn't realize was connected to their cesarean

  • Diastasis recti that wasn't identified or rehabilitated postpartum

  • Core weakness they've been trying to "just work through" at the gym

  • A c-section shelf they don't understand and don't know how to improve

  • Emotional trauma attached to their birth experience that's never been acknowledged in a clinical context

This is not because their providers didn't care. It's because the clinical training and structured resources have never existed — until now...

"Even as a physical therapist, I was left to figure out my own cesarean recovery with no roadmap. No scar protocol, no pelvic floor guidance, no structured plan. I was shocked.

That gap is what built this guide.

The PT who's been on

both sides of the table

Dr. Lashonda Jones is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Personal Trainer, Pre & Postnatal Exercise Specialist with 20 years of clinical experience in orthopedic, pelvic and postpartum rehabilitation.

She is the founder of Core Elevation Fitness and Wellness, Inc. and the creator of the original Cesarean Birth Recovery & Safe Return to Exercise Guide for patients.

She is also a cesarean mother who navigated her own recovery without a structured clinical roadmap, even as a DPT. That experience is the foundation of everything in this guide.

When her second child was delivered by unplanned cesarean section, Dr. Jones found herself (even as a physical therapist) without a structured clinical roadmap for her own recovery.

She was shocked to discover how little guidance existed, even for a healthcare professional who knew exactly what to look for.

That experience became the foundation of her life's work in cesarean rehabilitation. She built the patient guide she wished she'd had.

Then she built this clinical version, because the professionals treating these patients deserve the same quality of guidance they give their clients.

"I deserved better. Your patients deserve better.

And you deserve the clinical tools to give it to them."

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as the original patient guide?

No. The Clinical Professional Guide is a completely separate product built specifically for rehabilitation and medical professionals. It includes clinical assessment tools, intake frameworks, referral charts, documentation guidance, and patient handout templates not in the patient version.

Is this a course or a downloadable guide?

This is a comprehensive downloadable clinical reference guide — not a video course. You can reference it in practice, build treatment plans from it, print patient handouts directly from it, and return to it at any stage of a client's recovery.

I'm not a PT — is this still relevant to my practice?

Yes. The guide includes a scope-of-practice reference chart outlining how each professional role applies the guide within their clinical scope — from midwives and nurses to doulas and postnatal fitness specialists.

Can I share this with colleagues or use it organizationally?

The guide is licensed for individual professional use. For group licensing or institutional use, contact Dr. Jones at lashonda@coreelevationfitness.com to discuss options.

What if I have questions after purchasing?

Dr. Jones reads every message and is available for professional-to-professional consultation. One-on-one clinical consultation sessions are also available. Reach her at lashonda@coreelevationfitness.com.
